Growing up in Madison, Wisconsin, I played sports all year round. Baseball was number one, followed by basketball and football. My love for sports lead me to begin lifting weights when I was 12 years old, and I haven’t stopped since.
My passion for athletics and strength training led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota. During Senior year, I interned with the Minnesota Gopher Football team as a strength and condition assistant. Upon graduation, I worked for a private personal training studio. Nine months later I went off on my own and founded Top Training LLC in the summer of 2013. Since then, I have worked with hundreds of clients – both youth athletes and adults.
Time-efficient, evidence-based workouts combined with proper rest, nutrition guidance, and recovery allow my clients to see results without spending hours in the gym every week. Training should not be this daunting task that takes up all of your free time. My philosophy is based around simple, time-efficient workouts that require a high level of effort. The research is pretty
clear – strength training should be a priority for everyone, no matter the age.
My focus now is helping youth baseball players improve their performance through strength and conditioning along with nutrition. I also offer one-on-one training and nutrition coaching for adults.
Outside of THE GYM MPLS, I enjoy eating out and trying new restaurants, traveling, golfing, bike riding, and going to games at Target Field.
